Srinagar, Aug 18: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) General Secretary Organisation and former minister Adv. Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura has urged the Budgam district administration to ensure adequate arrangements for devotees ahead of the annual Urs of Hazrat SyedAli Aali Balakhi (R), scheduled to begin at Pakharpora on August 25.

Hanjura said thousands of devotees from across Jammu and Kashmir are expected to visit the shrine to pay their respects and participate in the religious observances. He called for timely arrangements to ensure a smooth and hassle-free gathering.

He particularly sought adequate drinking water, sanitation, cleanliness, uninterrupted power supply, medical facilities, traffic management and parking arrangements around the shrine.

Hanjura also urged the administration to deploy sufficient personnel and ensure effective crowd management, especially during peak hours, to facilitate the peaceful conduct of the Urs.

He said the Urs of revered saints formed an important part of Kashmir’s spiritual and cultural heritage and carried deep religious significance for people across the region.

The PDP leader called for close coordination between the district administration, shrine management and local stakeholders, urging them to complete all arrangements well ahead of August 25 while keeping the safety, convenience and dignity of devotees a priority.
