Prayagraj: Handia police on Tuesday arrested three criminals wanted in connection with a Gangsters Act case.Those arrested were Shyam Yadav (20) of Sudnipur Kala, Rana Chauhan (21) of Malkhanpur and Shivam Maurya (22) of Malkhanpur.Police said they were operating in an organised way and involved in extortion and other cases. The gang leader Shivam Maurya had six criminal cases while Shyam Yadav and Rana Chauhan also had criminal sketches.The gang stole motorcycles from within the district as well as from other neighbouring districts and later tampered with or altered the number plates to conceal the identity of the vehicles before selling them.After acknowledging their criminal records, city police had invoked Gangsters Act against them.
