Gumla: Three juveniles who fled from an observation home in Gumla on Friday were caught by police from Lohardaga district on Saturday, bringing a swift end to a brief escape that triggered an immediate police response.According to officials, the juveniles had escaped in the early hours of Friday morning by scaling the boundary wall of the home. They allegedly used a bedsheet as a rope after fastening it to hooks attached to an old concrete slab on the wall.As news of the escape spread, authorities rushed to the observation home to inspect the spot, while police launched a search operation to trace the inmates. Two of the juveniles are residents of Lohardaga district, while the third belongs to the Ghaghra police station area of Gumla.“Following the escape of three juveniles from Gumla Observation Home, a team of police led by OC of Sadar police station was constituted,” a police statement said on Saturday. “Acting swiftly, the team detained all three juveniles and further necessary actions are underway,” said the statement issued by Gumla police.
