Patna: The education department has sought a consolidated report from all district education officers (DEOs) on schools affected by the ongoing floods and damage to school buildings, educational materials and other infrastructure.During a video conference on Tuesday, education department special secretary Dharmendra Kumar directed all DEOs to submit updated data on flood-affected schools in their respective districts.The department also directed officials to ensure that the education of children staying in relief camps is not disrupted due to the closure of their schools. Teachers from schools shut because of flood, whose students are staying in relief camps, have been asked to be deputed to the camps to continue classes.Officials were also directed to submit detailed reports. The department stressed that the data should be accurate and updated to help the govt assess the situation and take appropriate measures.
