Srinagar, Oct 2: The Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed 60 officers as Liaison Officers for visiting dignitaries attending the upcoming Global Capability Centers (GCC) Summit, scheduled to be held on October 9 and 10 at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Jammu.
According to government order no. 1595-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the officers have been designated to coordinate with visiting dignitaries during the two-day summit.Â
The appointments were made following a reference from the Labour and Employment Department dated September 30, 2026.
The list includes officers from various departments and field formations, including Estates, Culture, Power Development, Health and Medical Education, ICDS, Cooperative Societies, Excise, Handicrafts, Social Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Finance, Tribal Affairs, Industries and Commerce, Irrigation and Flood Control, Housing and Urban Development, Information, Sports Council and Employment.
Among the officers appointed as liaison officers are Anil Kumar, Assistant Director, Estates, Jammu; Amit Singh Manhas, Under Secretary, Culture Department; Joni Kumar, Functional Manager, DIC Kathua; Waqar Talib, Under Secretary, Power Development Department; and Dr Neha Sharma, Administrative Officer, Government Medical College, Jammu.Â
The order also includes officers posted as BDOs, CDPOs, Excise and Taxation Officers, Under Secretaries, Functional Managers and other administrative positions across Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi and other districts.
The 60-member panel includes Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Jammu Madhur Anand, Information Officer Udhampur Neeraj Kumar Bhargav, Under Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department Shashank Padha, and officials from the J&K Public Service Commission, Sports Council and Directorate of Employment, among others.Â
Officers from Jammu, Udhampur, Samba, Kathua and Reasi have also been included in the panel, with several Block Development Officers and officers from the Excise, Handicrafts and Industries and Commerce departments being assigned liaison duties.Â
The government has directed all the appointed officers to report to the Labour and Employment Department at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu, on October 6 for a briefing on their duties and responsibilities during the summit.
