Srinagar, Oct 3: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary and Khanyar MLA Ali Mohammad Sagar on Saturday laid the foundation for six development projects in the Dalgate area at an estimated cost of Rs 1.5 crore.
The projects include two 350-feet lanes, footpaths, renovation and improvement of the Dal lakefront, a culvert and other construction works.
Sagar said the projects would improve connectivity and basic amenities for residents and enhance facilities in the area.
Speaking at a public outreach programme at Mamta Road, Dalgate, he said tourism remained a major source of livelihood in Jammu and Kashmir and that its promotion was among the government’s key priorities.
During the programme, Sagar heard grievances of residents and contacted concerned officials for their redressal. He urged officials to ensure timely delivery of services and avoid unnecessary delays.
Hazratbal MLA Salman Ali Sagar and representatives of the Hotel Association were also present.
