Bokaro: Five men were arrested for robbing a fish trader of Rs 2.07 lakh at gunpoint earlier this month in Giridih district, police said. Two country-made pistols, three live cartridges, two motorcycles without number plates allegedly used in the crime and Rs 10,000 cash were seized from their possession.“Mohammad Aftab, a fish trader, was robbed at gunpoint near the forest office in Mohanpur on July 23,” SP Bimal Kumar said. The incident took place under Panchamba police station limits. A special investigation team, led by DSP-2 Rupendra Kumar Rana, tracked the accused and arrested them from Gandey and Bengabad areas.“The arrested persons were identified as Deepak Kumar Verma, Pappu Verma, Vijay Rai alias Baba, Ashok Das and Shankar Das. Baba, Ashok and Shankar have a criminal history,” SP said.
