Aizawl: Gauhati high court has quashed an advertisement issued by the Mizoram director of health services on July 22, 2025, calling for applications for the direct recruitment of 100 health workers.The single bench of Justice Mridul Kumar Kalita has directed the Mizoram govt to conduct an exercise for determining how many contractual health workers employed under the National Health Mission (NHM) could be considered for regularisation against the posts under direct quota on the basis of criteria laid down in Clause 3 and Clause 4 of the “Government of Mizoram Regularisation of Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) Employees Scheme, 2024”.The govt may issue a fresh advertisement after specifying the number of posts reserved for regularisation and direct recruitment, the court said.The order came on a writ petition filed in 2025 by 72 contractual CSS employees, who argued that the advertisement ignored the 2024 regularisation scheme.
