Patna: Four people, including a husband and wife, were killed and two others injured after a truck collided with an autorickshaw in Arwal district on Saturday.The accident took place on National Highway-139 near Fatehpur Sanda under Sadar police station when the auto, carrying six people, was travelling from Arwal to Parasi Bazaar. Police rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations.Sadar SDPO Kumar Sanjay said, “The auto was carrying six passengers, including the driver, and was going from Arwal to Parasi Bazaar. At the same time, a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction rammed into the auto. The impact was so severe that two people died on the spot, while two others succumbed on the way to hospital.”The deceased were identified as Amarjeet Kumar, 27, Rajgir Ram, 50, his wife Manisha Devi, 48, and Ramdayal Rajvanshi, 38.The injured, Sunil Kumar, 32, of Balopur in Kaler block, and Mahendra Ram, 63, of Kamta village, were initially taken to Sadar Hospital before being referred to PMCH in Patna.The collision disrupted traffic on NH-139 for around an hour. Police later removed the damaged vehicles and restored movement on the highway.Sadar SDO Sanjeev Kumar and Kumar Sanjay visited the hospital and reviewed the situation. After the post-mortem examination, the bodies were handed over to the families.
