Vadodara: On the occasion of International Tiger Day on Wednesday, a sensitisation and capacity-building programme for frontline forest personnel working across tiger movement zones in Central and Eastern Gujarat, was organised at Jambughoda in Panchmahal district. The programme was a joint initiative of Vadodara Circle and Vadodara Wildlife Circle.Forest officials said it focused on equipping frontline staff, including beat guards, foresters and range forest officers with in-depth knowledge on tiger behaviour, habitat protection, prey-base dynamics and strategies for mitigating human-wildlife conflict. The conservator of forests of Vadodara Wildlife Circle, Nisha Raj, led the participants to take a pledge to protect tiger habitats and conserve its natural prey-base.
