Kanpur: Five mud houses collapsed amid intermittent rain in Patara town in Kanpur’s Ghatampur area on Friday.According to police, one resident suffered minor injuries, while others escaped unharmed.SDM Avichal Pratap Singh said he had instructed the tehsildar and all lekhpals to prepare lists of rain-damaged houses in their respective areas and submit reports for compensation. Action would be taken as per rules based on the reports, he said.
