Kanpur: Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel on Friday took eight transgender persons into custody at Kanpur Central station for allegedly disrupting passenger convenience and security.According to officials, RPF personnel on patrol at the foot overbridge on the Delhi end of the station found them allegedly creating a nuisance.Officials said they were instructed to maintain discipline on railway premises and avoid inconveniencing passengers. However, they allegedly failed to comply and were subsequently taken into custody.The RPF registered eight separate cases under Section 145 of the Railways Act.
