Patna: Two motorcycle-borne miscreants allegedly opened fire outside the house of BJP functionary and Hindu Putra Sangathan patron Rajeev Brahmarshi in Adalpur locality under Sadar police station area in Vaishali district late Saturday night. The attackers fired several rounds before fleeing the spot.Sadar SHO Mukesh Kumar reached the site with a police team and inspected the area. Police recovered 10 empty cartridges from outside the house of Brahmarshi and launched an investigation into the firing and the motive behind it.Police are examining CCTV footage from cameras installed at Brahmarshi’s residence and nearby houses and shops to identify the attackers and establish their escape route. Teams are also questioning local residents.The motive behind the firing remains unclear. Police are examining several possibilities, including old enmity, a criminal dispute and other personal or local issues. No specific reason for the firing has been established so far.The SHO said, “Ten empty cartridges were recovered from the spot. The incident is being investigated from all possible angles, and CCTV footage is also being examined. Police teams are working to identify and arrest the accused.”An FIR has been registered against two unidentified persons. Police said further details about the motive and identities of the suspects are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
