Colva: The Colva police have registered a case against two Cavelossim residents for allegedly obstructing a govt servant in the discharge of official duties, attempting to interfere with official records, and unlawfully entering the records section of the Cavelossim village panchayat office.According to the complaint by the panchayat’s secretary, John Colaco, on Monday, Shelton and Cornelio Fernandes visited the panchayat office to seek clarification regarding the action taken on a complaint they had submitted. During the interaction, Shelton allegedly became agitated and created a commotion.Colaco said Shelton allegedly recorded the incident and broadcast it on social media platforms without his consent, causing damage to his personal reputation.The entire incident was captured on the office’s CCTV cameras and was witnessed by the panchayat’s staff.Condemning the incident, sarpanch Dixon Vaz said attempts to intimidate panchayat staff would not be tolerated and that the panchayat would ensure the matter is pursued to its logical conclusion.
