Rajkot: A fight that began over talking loudly escalated into murder, with two people allegedly killing their co-worker in Jogvad village of Jamnagar district’s Lalpur taluka late on Sunday. The incident occurred in the workers’ colony of a private company where the migrant labourers were allotted rooms. The deceased, Dilip Srivastava, originally from Farrukhabad district in Uttar Pradesh, worked with the company, and the assailants, Akashkumar Deepaksingh and Avanish Surendrasingh, were his colleagues. On Sunday night, Dilip was speaking loudly with his fellow villager Mohan Thakur, who lived in the adjacent room. Meanwhile, Akashkumar, who was nearby and engaged in a phone call, told Dilip to lower his voice. Dilip retorted, telling him to move away and speak elsewhere if he was getting disturbed. This exchange reportedly enraged Akashkumar, who, along with Avanish, attacked Dilip using a wooden stick and a pipe, causing severe head injuries. As Dilip collapsed on the spot, other workers called the 108 emergency ambulance team, whose paramedics declared him dead after examination.Following the incident, Dilip’s brother Rajeevkumar filed a police complaint at Meghpar Padana police station.
