Prayagraj: Police and administration in Fatehpur seized illegal firecrackers worth Rs 55 lakh during a joint raid on Monday. An FIR has been lodged against Rahul of Sultanpur Ghosh under the BNS and Explosive Act for illegally storing firecrackers.Police, however, said, “Although the accused held a valid license for storing firecrackers, but it was limited to a capacity of 100 Kg. Rahul had illegally stored around 58 quintals of firecrackers, with a current market value of around ₹55 lakh. Following the seizure of the illegal stock, the accused has been booked and the accused was arrested. Further necessary legal proceedings are underway.”
