Prayagraj: Devotees of Lord Shiv whose kanwar gets damaged or whose sacred Ganga jal spills during the kanwar yatra will be provided with sacred Ganga water from Sangam at all police stations and police outposts along the kanwar routes in Fatehpur and Kaushambi districts.Keeping the holy month of Shrawan and the kanwar yatra in mind and prioritising the safety, convenience, and religious sentiments of devotees, the Fatehpur and Kaushambi police have put in place special devotee-friendly arrangements.According to officials, devotees can contact the nearest police station, police outpost, police assistance centre, or any cop deployed on the route to immediately obtain the sacred Ganga water and continue their journey without interruption.They said the objective is not merely to maintain law and order but also provide all possible assistance and security while respecting the religious sentiments of devotees of Lord Shiv. The district police are working continuously with sensitivity, commitment, and promptness to ensure the kanwar yatra is conducted safely, systematically, and in an atmosphere of reverence.The police have appealed to all devotees to immediately Dial-112 in the event of any inconvenience or emergency during the pilgrimage.
