Kanpur: A 45-year-old farmer was found murdered in a tubewell in his field on Thursday morning in Hathigaon village under the Maharajpur police station area.The deceased, Harimohan Yadav, was found in a blood-soaked condition by a local villager, who informed his family.According to police, the deceased had deep wounds on his neck and hands. Police also found 15 to 20 empty glasses and two liquor bottles at the spot, suggesting that several people may have been present there the previous night.Police said Harimohan used to visit his field every night to guard it. On Wednesday night, he allegedly informed his family that there was a gathering and that he would not return home.DCP East Satyajit Gupta said family members have accused three villagers of the murder. The accused frequently accompanied the deceased to the field, he said.He further said that the forensic team had collected evidence and that further action would be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
