Jaipur: A forged tour schedule seeking state protocol across 3 districts landed a man in legal trouble after the secretariat detected an attempt to secure official facilities in the name of a junior Union minister.Policsaid the accused, Karan Singh, posed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the minister and circulated what appeared to be an official tour programme to the authorities.
An FIR was registered at Ashok Nagar police station Tuesday following a complaint by the Chief Protocol Officer at the secretariat. According to the complaint, a document dated Feb 19 claimed that Singh, describing himself as the minister’s OSD, would tour Jaipur, Udaipur and Rajsamand from Feb 24 to 26.The communication sought govt protocol arrangements in the 3 districts, including facilities reserved for dignitaries. Secretariat officials found that no individual named Karan Singh was appointed as OSD in the minister’s office. Police alerted authorities in the three districts and are now seraching for Singh. tnn
