Prayagraj: Ram Navami was celebrated with devotion and traditional fervour at the Bade Hanuman Temple and Baghambari Math on Friday, drawing large crowds of devotees from across the region.At Baghambari Math, Mahant Balveer Giri led the morning rituals as part of the ongoing Chaitra Navratri observances. He began the day by offering prayers to Goddess Bageshwari, the presiding deity of the math, followed by the traditional Kanya Pujan ceremony. In line with custom, Giri washed the feet of young girls, performed ritual worship, and later served them meals. The girls were also presented with gifts before being respectfully sent off. Meanwhile, festive celebrations at the Bade Hanuman Temple were marked by special prayers and colourful decorations. The temple premises were adorned with vibrant lighting, and the idol was decorated with an assortment of flowers. Long queues of devotees were seen from early morning, with people waiting patiently for darshan after the morning aarti.
