DoneHyderabad: BRS whip and Quthbullapur MLA KP Vivekananda said the govt must explain reasons for delay in executing metro phase-II project in Hyderabad. He said chief minister A Revanth Reddy was only writing letters to the Centre on metro rail phase-I take over.Addressing reporters at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday, the MLA said that due to delay in taking over metro rail phase-I from L&T, there is a daily burden of Rs2.5 crore on the state govt. As a result of this, the future of the metro rail has become uncertain. After discussions with the Union minister on metro, the CM did not disclose to the public what exactly was discussed, he said.He said while PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for Metro Phase 2 in Jaipur, a city with a population of forty lakh, why is Hyderabad with a population of 1.3 crore being denied metro phase-II.
