Kanpur: A leopard cub rescued from a field in village Mohammadpur Dhyansingh under the Moradabad Forest Division died during treatment at Etawah Safari Park on Friday evening, officials said.According to forest department officials, the cub was rescued on March 9 and efforts were made for three days to reunite it with its mother, but in vain.Considering the cub’s deteriorating condition, the conservator of forests, Moradabad, sought permission from the principal chief conservator of forests (Wildlife), Uttar Pradesh, and the animal was shifted to the safari park late on the night of March 12 for specialised care and treatment. A team of veterinarians immediately began treatment, but the cub died on Friday evening. The director of Etawah Safari Park, Anil Patel, said that a panel of doctors conducted the postmortem of the cub.
