Gurgaon: An engineer suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run incident when a truck rammed his motorcycle from the rear.Durgesh Kumar Gupta, an employee of Kasal Industries, was returning home when the accident took place near Narsinghpur after he crossed the Dwarka flyover, causing him to fall and damaging the vehicle.“The front tyre of the vehicle ran over his motorcycle and his leg, resulting in fractures. His arm was fractured too. Passersby took him to Shivam Hospital in Sector 30 where he is currently undergoing treatment,” a police officer said.Police registered a case on Sept 3 under BNS sections concerning rash driving, act endangering life and mischief.The second hit-and-run claimed the lives of Ravinder Kumar (57) and his wife Krishna Devi (56) after a canter hit their Activa near Naya Gaon flyover on Pataudi bypass around 7.15pm on Sept 3. The couple was visiting their family in Nanukala village and was returning home.Their 28-year-old son, Akhilesh Kumar, was following them on his motorcycle when the accident took place. According to his complaint, water had accumulated on one side of the bypass, due to which his father was taking the Activa along the other side when a canter coming from the opposite direction hit them.“The impact threw Ravinder and Krishna onto the road, causing deep injuries on their heads and bodies. Akhilesh took them to Pushpanjali Hospital in Rewari in a private vehicle, where doctors declared them dead,” an officer said.A case was registered on Sept 4 under BNS sections related to rash driving and death by negligence.
