Vadodara: Bomb threats via email triggered evacuations at a private university in Waghodia and the Godhra post office on Tuesday, though police found nothing suspicious in either case.At Parul University, students were asked to leave the campus after the management received an email threatening a bomb blast. Police teams, including a bomb squad, conducted a thorough security sweep of the premises but found nothing amiss. The evacuation caused heavy traffic on Waghodia Road as thousands of students left the campus in a short span. The university later confirmed the threat was a hoax and announced normal operations would resume from Wednesday.Meanwhile, the Godhra post office, located in the Jahurpura area, was also evacuated after receiving a bomb threat email around 10.55am. Staff immediately alerted police, who arrived with a bomb disposal squad and a sniffer dog to inspect the premises. Assistant post officer I B Pandya said no suspicious items were found and the post office resumed normal functioning after the checks. This marks the second bomb hoax at the Godhra post office since Feb 27. Sources said a passport facilitation centre is also located at the premises, with the Godhra B-division police station nearby.
