Thiruvananthapuram: A 65-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside a building under construction at Kalluvathukkal near Parippally, Kollam on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Ravindran, a native of Pulikkuzhi in Parippally.Police registered a case in connection with the incident, and a probe is under way. According to police, Ravindran was living away from his family for some time and was often seen wandering around Kalluvathukkal and Parippally areas. He reportedly used to spend nights sleeping in buildings that were vacant or under construction. The body was discovered with visible bleeding injuries, raising concerns about the nature of his death. Locals alerted police after finding him lying motionless inside the building. Police said it is yet to be determined whether the death was caused by an accidental fall or if there were any suspicious circumstances involved. A detailed investigation has been launched to ascertain the exact cause of death. The body was shifted to the mortuary of Parippally medical college for postmortem examination. Authorities stated that the cause of death will be confirmed only after the autopsy report is received. Police are collecting statements from nearby residents as part of the investigation.
