Jaipur: The Directorate of Elementary Education has reversed the cancellation of district allocations for 75 teachers from TSP (Tribal Sub-Plan) areas and directed their immediate reinstatement to their earlier posts.The teachers were initially removed from their posts in Aug 2025, despite having served for nearly a year. They were selected through direct recruitment for primary schools and joined duty in July 2024.Teachers’ associations said the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board later cancelled its results, stating that the posts were reserved for the differently abled category, while general-category teachers had been appointed against them.The association had raised the issue, attributing it to confusion between two departments. Candidates who cleared the examination on merit were forced to face the consequences, it said.Vipin Prakash Sharma, state president of the Rajasthan Primary and Secondary Teachers Association, said, “These teachers were rendered unemployed overnight, and their futures hung in the balance. After approaching the courts, the dept has now reinstated them to their posts. These teachers had no fault as they cleared the recruitment process on merit.”The association thanked the state govt for the decision ahead of Teachers’ Day.
