Patna: Bihar’s home and police departments will host an eastern zonal conference on missing children and human trafficking at Gyan Bhawan on Saturday, bringing together senior judges, legal experts and officials from four states to discuss strategies for tackling the growing menace.CM Samrat Choudhary will inaugurate the conference. Supreme Court judge Justice A Amanullah, Patna High Court judge Justice Rajeev Ranjan Prasad and Bihar Advocate General Satya Darshi Sanjay will attend the programme.Senior officials from Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand, including chief secretaries and directors general of police, will share their states’ experiences in tracing missing children and combating human trafficking.Former Delhi High Court judge and Supreme Court advocate Mukta Gupta will deliver the opening address, outlining the legal and policy framework for addressing the issue. The conference will also serve as a consultation platform for strengthening inter-state coordination and improving mechanisms to prevent child trafficking and trace missing children.
