Patna: The state education department will hold a two-day state-level workshop-cum-chintan shivir at Adhiveshan Bhawan on Aug 9 and 10, bringing together around 400 officials from the state, regional, district and block levels to deliberate on key policy and administrative issues.Addressing a news conference on Thursday, education minister Mithilesh Tiwari said the workshop will begin at 9.30am on Aug 9 and be inaugurated by CM Samrat Choudhary. The deliberations will conclude on Aug 10, while the outcomes and recommendations will be shared at a briefing on Aug 11.Describing it as the department’s first such exercise, Tiwari said the event aims to strengthen coordination among officials, educational institutions and partner agencies, and improve implementation of education policies and programmes.Key sessions will focus on implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, teacher transfer rules, smart classrooms, integration of e-Shikshakosh and the Human Resource Management System (HRMS), IIT-supported laboratories, vocational education and digital innovation.Discussions will also cover solar energy, internet connectivity in schools, health screening, nutrition and sanitation.Tiwari said the workshop would help prepare district- and block-level action plans, enhance administrative efficiency and promote technology-driven education. Special emphasis will be laid on the use of information and communication technology and artificial intelligence-based tools to improve learning outcomes in government schools.
