Coimbatore: Sleuths from the directorate of vigilance and anti-corruption (DVAC) on Monday, seized ₹1.14 lakh in unaccounted cash, following a surprise inspection at a transport department check-post on the interstate border on the Salem-Kochi highway.During searches, vigilance officials recovered the unaccounted cash from the KG Chavadi check post. The money was seized from motor vehicle inspector Aruldas and his assistants, Kalpana and Padma, who were on duty at the time.The DVAC team registered a case and has begun investigations to trace the source of the money.
