New Delhi: A woman (53) died after she was hit by a dump truck in southeast Delhi’s Nehru Place Saturday.The deceased, Rajwati, was a resident of the Hauz Rani area of south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar.The driver, identified as Sobaran (55), a resident of Faridabad, Haryana, was nabbed on the spot by the public and eyewitnesses, who later handed him over to the cops.Cops arrived after a PCR call to Kalkaji police station. Rajwati had died on the spot. Doctors at AIIMS Trauma Centre also declared her brought dead.The vehicle was seized. The body was sent for post-mortem and a case was registered.
