Dumka: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Dumka, has stepped up preparations for the National Lok Adalat scheduled on Sept 12, aiming to dispose of the maximum number of pending and pre-litigation cases through amicable settlement.Sudhanshu Kumar Shashi, principal district and sessions judge-cum-chairperson of DLSA, Dumka, chaired a review meeting of officials from various departments on Wednesday. The meeting focused on arrangements for the Lok Adalat, identification of cases fit for disposal, preparation of updated case data and issuance of notices to concerned parties.Officials were instructed to take timely steps to enable speedy settlement of matters through mutual consent and compromise.DLSA secretary Vivek Kumar said all concerned departments have been directed to prepare data of cases that can be taken up during the National Lok Adalat in the prescribed format and submit it to the DLSA within the stipulated time.“National Lok Adalat provides an effective platform for the amicable and speedy resolution of disputes. It helps litigants save both time and money while ensuring expeditious justice,” the DLSA secretary said.Officials were asked to coordinate with DLSA before the event.
