Srinagar, Sept 17: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has given a final opportunity to teaching and other staff of the School Education Department who obtained higher qualifications through distance or online mode during their service without securing prior permission from the competent authority.
According to an official notice issued by the Directorate, the Administrative Department, through Government Order No. 367-JK (Edu) of 2026 dated September 9, 2026, has extended the deadline for submission of cases seeking one-time exemption up to September 30, 2026.
The Directorate has directed eligible employees of the Jammu Division to submit the required documents within 10 days from the date of issuance of the notice, along with recommendations from the concerned Chief Education Officer (CEO).
The DSEJ has made it clear that no pending or fresh representations, claims or cases under Government Order No. 188-JK (Edu) of 2024, dated March 15, 2024, will be entertained after the expiry of the stipulated period, irrespective of the reasons cited.
The concerned CEOs have also been instructed to ensure and certify that no case seeking one-time exemption for acquisition of higher qualifications by teaching or other staff remains pending before the competent authority in their respective districts.
