Nagpur: A 31-year-old woman from Pardi accused her former partner of trying to barge into her house late at night after she ended their relationship. A case of molestation, criminal intimidation, house trespass and related offences was registered at Pardi police station.The complainant, hailing from Bhandara, had moved to the city in 2023 in search of work. She had been in a relationship with a 31-year-old acquaintance.Police said over time the man grew suspicious, began abusing the woman, subjecting her to mental harassment and even beating her. She finally broke off the relationship.On Sept 16, around 3am, the accused arrived at her house in an inebriated state, police said. He banged loudly on the door and created a ruckus. The woman told police she felt embarrassed, frightened and mentally disturbed by the incident.Police sources said the woman reported that the harassment continued even after she ended the relationship. Officers recorded her statement and began inquiries with neighbours and relatives.
