GURGAON: Gurgaon police have arrested an Audi driver for allegedly hitting a motorcycle and a car while driving at high speed under the influence of alcohol, news agency PTI reported quoting officials on Monday.The Audi involved in the incident has been taken into police possession, police said.According to a complaint lodged at Bajghera police station on Monday, the complainant was travelling towards Dharam Colony from the Dwarka Expressway on a motorcycle with his friend.When they reached near M3M in Sector 113, the Audi driver allegedly rammed into their motorcycle from behind while driving at high speed and in a negligent manner, police said.Both motorcycle riders fell onto the road and sustained injuries, they said.The Audi driver then continued ahead and collided with another white car, according to the complaint.A case was registered on the complaint, following which a police team arrested Audi driver Mayank Kumar, 25, a resident of Tirpadi village in Gurgaon, police said.Kumar was later released after being included in the investigation, they added.A senior police officer said Kumar was medically examined and the examination confirmed consumption of alcohol.“The police team has taken the Audi car involved in the incident into police possession. Further action in the case is being taken as per law. The investigation is underway,” he said.The incident and the police action were reported by news agency PTI, citing officials. Police said further investigation into the circumstances of the crash is underway.
