Prayagraj: Fatehpur police on Thursday arrested a drug-and-rob gang member on the charges of looting passengers on roadways buses after using toxic smoke or sprays and seized Rs 1.25 lakh cash and two mobile sets.Teh action comes following complaints lodged by two passengers with Fatehpur Cyber police that their belongings including purse, mobile, ATM, Aadhaar card and other documents were stolen while travelling on roadways bus between Ghaziabad and Fatehpur.The passengers also told police that money was withdrawn from ATMs through their stolen cards.Acting on the inputs, police arrested Harshit Kumar Joshi (23) of Hardoi. He told police that he used to target gullible passengers travelling long distances.Police are investigating the gang’s network and trying to identify other members involved in similar incidents.
