Hazaribag: Security arrangements have been made to maintain peace and law and order during Durga Puja, SP Aman Kumar said, referring to Hazaribag Police preparations.The SP said surveillance will be strengthened across the district, with drones and videography used to monitor activities during the festivities. Security personnel will keep a close watch on puja pandals and crowded areas to prevent any untoward incident. Strict action will be taken against anti-social elements attempting to disrupt the festive atmosphere.The objective is to ensure devotees can offer prayers without inconvenience and celebrations remain peaceful across the district. Social media platforms will also be monitored to prevent the circulation of misleading or inflammatory content. Those spreading rumours, creating tension or disturbing communal harmony will face legal action.He appealed to residents not to share unverified messages, photographs or videos on social media and to cooperate with the police in maintaining peace and harmony.He said a campaign against illegal liquor is also continuing, and action will be taken against illegal activities during the festive period to strengthen security and prevent disturbances.The SP also urged people to follow the law, refrain from spreading rumours and promptly report any suspicious activity to the authorities. The administration is committed to ensuring Durga Puja celebrations conclude peacefully and devotees face no inconvenience.
