Prayagraj: Dr. Shivam Sharma, a 2011-batch Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer, has assumed charge as the chief public relations officer (CPRO) of North Central Railway (NCR). He succeeds Shashikant Tripathi, who was promoted as chief traffic planning manager of NCR.This marks Dr. Sharma’s second stint as CPRO, having earlier held the post during 2021-22. Before taking over the new assignment, he was serving as senior divisional operations manager in the Prayagraj division.During his railway career, Dr. Sharma has held several key positions, including senior divisional operations manager, deputy chief commercial manager (claims), and divisional traffic manager at Tundla. As deputy chief claims officer, he played a significant role in establishing a bench of the Railway Claims Tribunal in Prayagraj, for which he was honoured by the chairperson of the tribunal’s principal bench.
