Ludhiana: Residents continued to enjoy pleasant weather as the temperatures in Ludhiana are being recorded around normal. Meanwhile, met department has issued orange alert for Ludhiana for Thursday and Friday. After recent rains, even as weather was partly cloudy but did make appearance and remained for most part of the day on Tuesday. The impact of sunshine was witnessed on the maximum (day) temperature in city which was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, which is 1.1 degrees less than normal but 6 degrees more than a day before.Meanwhile, the minimum (night) temperature in city was recorded at 12.0 degrees Celsius, which is 1.6 degrees less than normal but 0.5 degree more than a day before. In the meanwhile, The met department in the weather warning for various districts of the state has issued orange alert for Ludhiana on Thursday and Friday predicting “Thunderstorm/lightning/gust wind of 40-50 KMPH/Hail” whereas weather forecast for Wednesday is “Partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers”. The organge alert is issued by the met department for the various departments to “be prepared” for the inclement weather.Meanwhile, the met department website suggests that day temperature is expected to be recorded at 26 degrees on Wednesday and fall to 25 degrees on Thursday before rising to 26 degrees on Friday and remain same for next three days, whereas night temperature might decrease to 13 degrees by Thursday, remain same next day and fall to 12 degrees on Saturday. Meanwhile, as temperatures remained around normal and breeze was blowing in city, residents enjoyed the weather prevailing in city.Ajay Kumar, a resident said that even as weather had turned cold after recent rains but conditions are warming up in city. However he added that coolness in the breeze can be felt especially in the morning and evening morning. Kumar added that although he had packed away his winter clothes after the warm spell in the first half of March, he has now taken them out again and is wearing a sweatshirt during the day instead of the cotton shirts he had been using for about fifteen days earlier this month.
