Gurgaon: A doctor and his friend, who had gone to see a plot in Bhora Kalan village, were allegedly beaten up and robbed on Wednesday after a local intercepted their car and called his acquaintances to back him up during the assault. While a case has been registered, police say the statements of both the complainant and the accused appear suspicious. The complainant, Naresh Kumar, 43, a private doctor from Rewari, had gone to the village with his friend Satpal around 8pm.While they were travelling in his Creta car from Chitrasen Ki Dhani towards Bhora Kalan, a man called Kali, alias Kuldeep, stopped them.Naresh told police that when he informed Kuldeep that he had come to see a plot, Kuldeep allegedly made a phone call and said “someone from a de-addiction centre had come to pick him up”.The complainant said that when they continued towards Bhora Kalan, after 500 metres, a black Swift car blocked their way. Around five men got out of the vehicle and allegedly attacked him and Satpal with sticks.“Naresh alleged that Kuldeep, who was with them, also took Rs 23,000 kept inside his car. The attackers allegedly damaged the windows and snatched the car keys before fleeing. While leaving, they allegedly threatened the doctor and told him not to come back to the area,” an officer said. However, a probe has revealed Naresh already knew Kuldeep before the alleged incident. “The allegations regarding the missing money and car keys were not substantiated during the inquiry,” the officer said. The matter is being investigated and each member of the group is being interrogated to ascertain the details, he added. The FIR has been registered at the Bilaspur police station under sections 190 (unlawful assembly), 191(2) (rioting), 351(3) (criminal intimidation), 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 324(4) (mischief) and 126(2) (wrongful restraint) of the BNS.
