Buxar: DM Sahila on Friday inspected three key historical and tourism sites — Chausa battlefield, Buxar battlefield at Kathkauli and Ramrekha Ghat — as part of the comprehensive tourism development plan submitted for the district. During the inspection of Chausa battlefield, the DM directed officials to ensure cleanliness, public amenities and proper maintenance of the park.She also ordered the installation of proper signage, repair of the approach road from the Buxar-Chausa main road to the battlefield and regular cleaning of the premises. The DM also directed officials to ensure the safe preservation of archaeological artefacts recovered from the site and ordered an immediate inspection by the department concerned.At Buxar battlefield in Kathkauli, she directed officials to improve cleanliness, lighting, signage and security arrangements. She also stressed the need for proper preservation of the stone inscriptions located within the premises.
