Mandya: Mandya MLA Ganiga Ravikumar once again voiced strong support for deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar, describing him as a leader who has mastered the art of politics. DKS has understood precisely when and how to make decisive moves, said Ravikumar.He characterised Shivakumar’s present silence as a calculated strategy, calling him a shrewd tactician who recognised that politics is an inevitable and strategic game. Speaking to reporters, he asserted that Shivakumar is destined to become the CM and that no one could prevent it.Sarcastically referring to the CM’s son and Congress MLC Yathindra Siddaramaiah as the party’s high command, he said Yathindra had supreme status in the party, which has resulted in him to overlook repeated instructions to party members to avoid public statements. He said that Yathindra appeared to hold influence beyond senior functionaries like Mallikarjun Kharge.Responding to Union minister HD Kumaraswamy’s statement on toppling the Congress govt, calling it corrupt, he said: “Kumaraswamy often focuses on bringing down govts but is unable to sustain his own administration beyond 12 months when it could have lasted five years.”On the proposed ARAI unit in Mandya, he said the land and full infrastructure were already provided, and it was now up to Kumaraswamy to ensure that the project materialises.
