Dhubri: Over Rs 3 crore was recovered from 1,058 cases in the Lok Adalat held on the Dhubri District Judicial Court premises on Saturday.The Lok Adalat was held in Dhubri under the auspices of Dhubri District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA) with Dhubri district and session judge Babul Sutradhar in the chair.In the Lok Adalat, a total of 1,058 cases related to bank loan recovery and electricity bill dues, motor accident etc., were disposed of, and a total amount of Rs 3,30,81,339, was recovered.Out of 770 cases involving bank loans, electricity bill dues, Rs 1,20,31,261 was recovered, with all cases disposed of.Talking to TOI, secretary of DDLSA, SF Afzal Jinnat said in addition to bank loans and electricity bill due cases, there were 388 cases, including 56 motor accidents and other civil and criminal cases claims, all were settled and disposed of and Rs 2,10,49,078 was recovered.
