Chennai: Director-general of police S Davidson Devasirvatham has been named as the chief of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) in an existing vacancy. He will also hold full additional charge as DGP of the Armed Reserve unit.The transfer was part of a reshuffle of 20 IPS officers in the state on Saturday.Additional director-general of police H M Jayaram, who is on compulsory wait, has now been posted as the Director of Civil Defence and additional Commandant General of Home Guards in a newly created post.Inspector-general K Bhavaneeswari was transferred and posted as IGP, headquarters, in the DGP office. Inspector-general A G Babu was appointed as the IGP of modernisation in the DGP office.Deputy inspector-general R Jayanthi has been made the joint commissioner of police in the Tambaram commissionerate.
