Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at Jalalpur village in Yadadri-Bhongir district after unknown individuals were involved in desecration inside a religious site on Sunday late at night.Police said a criminal case was registered for allegedly attempting to create communal disharmony.
On Monday morning, when the managers of the religious site came to open the door, they discovered a security breach. Upon entering, the managers found that some religious scriptures had been pushed onto the floor. In addition, furniture inside the building had been damaged.“We have collected fingerprints from the spot. Police are investigating to trace the accused and determine the motive,” a senior district police officer told TOI. The religious structure is located on the outskirts of the village and has no CCTV coverage. Security was increased in the area following the incident.tnn
