Prayagraj: BJP leaders and workers on Friday paid tributes to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, proponent of Integral Humanism (Ekatma Manavvad), and architect of the Antyodaya principle, on his birth anniversary.Led by BJP Mahanagar president Sanjay Gupta, party workers garlanded Upadhyaya’s statue at Balsan Crossing and paid floral tributes.Gupta said Upadhyaya’s concept of Antyodaya (upliftment of the last person) continues to serve as a guiding light for public welfare and nation-building. He said the core of Upadhyaya’s philosophy was to ensure that the benefits of development reach those at the lowest rung of society. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India), he added, is aligned with this philosophy.“The spirit of Antyodaya is reflected in efforts to ensure inclusive development and deliver the benefits of govt schemes to the last person in society. His philosophy of service to the nation, indigenous thought and Antyodaya will continue to inspire us. Taking his ideas to the masses would be our true tribute to him,” Gupta said.Among those present were Shailesh Pandey, Vikramjit Singh Bhadauria, Ramesh Pasi, Pawan Srivastava, Vivek Mishra, Vishwas Srivastava and Aman Sharma.
