Patna: Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad and state minister for cooperative Ram Kripal Yadav jointly flagged off the Danapur-Jogbani Vande Bharat Express (26301/26302) at Patliputra Junction after railways granted a stoppage of the train at the station from Sunday.The stoppage was approved following a long-standing demand from passengers to provide a more convenient and comfortable travel option to Jogbani and other destinations on the route. Danapur senior divisional commercial manager Abhinav Siddarth said the new stoppage will benefit passengers travelling in both up and down directions.Speaking on the occasion, Prasad said the introduction of the stoppage would provide better connectivity for passengers from Patna and adjoining areas and help them save travel time on the semi-high-speed service. He said the additional halt would also enhance passenger convenience and strengthen connectivity between Patna and the north-eastern parts of Bihar.According to Siddarth, the train departs Danapur at 5.10 pm and reaches Jogbani at 1.20 am. On the return journey, it leaves Jogbani at 3.30 am and reaches Danapur around 11.40 am the same day, covering 452 km in 8 hours and 10 minutes. Digha BJP MLA Sanjiv Chaurasia was also present.
