Amritsar: The Dal Khalsa, a Sikh body, has called upon all the Sikh members of the Punjab legislative assembly to honour the directive issued by jathedar Kuldeep Singh Gargaj and appear before the Akal Takht on June 29 to explain their role in the “hurried passage” of the amendments to the Jagat Jot Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Act.The Sikh body asked all the Sikh legislators to participate in the proceedings at the Takht with humility and sincerity.Kanwarpal Singh, secretary, political affairs, Dal Khalsa, said that it was not merely a political issue but a matter touching the religious sentiments, dignity and collective conscience of the Sikh Panth.
