Thiruvananthapuram: Culture minister Saji Cherian will inaugurate the renovated building at Bharat Bhavan, where K J Yesudas once lived while he was a student at Swathi Thirunal Music College, at 11.30am on Tuesday. He will also inaugurate the state-level Microfilm Award ceremony.Notable music groups will perform songs of the legendary singer at Semmangudi High-Q theatre before the event. During the inauguration, 8 songs that earned Yesudas National Awards will be performed by 50 singers from Vayalar Cultural Forum Choir led by singer Ravishankar. Additionally, art groups will create real-time paintings on a graffiti wall. A dance theatre performance titled ‘Janakiyam’ will also be held in the evening Featuring around 50 female actors, the presentation highlights powerful women characters from mythology and epics, while also conveying a message against war. Entry to the event is free.
