Vadodara: A 40-year-old man was killed by a crocodile which dragged him into the Orsang river in Dabhoi taluka on Friday evening.The victim, Manoj Tadvi, had gone to the riverbank near Bhilodiya village, to drink water or wash his face, when the reptile attacked and pulled him into the river.Locals who witnessed the attack raised the alarm, after which wildlife experts, police and forest department teams were alerted. Teams rushed to the spot and but could only later recover Tadvi’s body from the river.The body was sent to Dabhoi referral hospital for a postmortem. After the incident, some residents demanded that the crocodile be captured and relocated to prevent further attacks.
