Hyderabad: A month after an alleged robbery by a few Nepal nationals at Nandagiri Hills in Jubilee Hills, a local court has recently refused to grant bail to the two accused, including security agency supervisor who facilitated their employment at the victim’s residence. Two Nepal nationals, Madan Khatri and Bohara Susil, were arrested last month. Madan was involved in providing employment to compatriots by connecting with persons in need of helps. On Feb 5, when a resident of Nandagiri Hills returned home, they found two accused, Ramesh Bahadur Chand and another accused, with the support of recently employed Nepali national Jiban Chand, had assaulted other staff, including the watchman, besides giving sedatives. The accused fled after stealing gold and diamond jewellery worth 1.30 crore from a locker.“Following the offence, Bohara received a call from Ramesh, who participated in the robbery. On the night, Bohara went to Lakdikapul, where he picked up Ramesh and brought him to his residence at Nizampet, where he was harboured,” police said.Madan has been accused of being part of the conspiracy to execute the offence and also in planning the escape later. The prime accused, Jiban and Bimla, are at large along with a portion of the property. They are believed to have crossed over to Nepal after committing the offence. Police informed the court during its earlier arguments that since both Madan and Bohara were foreign nationals, there was every possibility that they might escape to Nepal to evade trial. The court, after considering the arguments put forth by police and the accused, rejected the bail application a week ago. Police were considering taking both the accused into custody for further investigation.
